Town Board (5 people, a chairperson and 4 supervisors, meets 1st and 3rd Monday, each month, 8:00 p.m.) They are elected, as are the town clerk and the town treasurer, to two-year staggered terms in a spring election held every year. It is their responsibility to carry out the decsions made at annual meetings as well as to oversee town property, finances, highways, and all other public services the Town provides. The Board has the power to make rules and regulations by adopting ordinances and policies for the benefit of its citizens. |
(7 members, including 2 Town Board members, meets 1st and 3rd Mondays, 7:00 p.m.) Has powers and duties to make and adopt a master plan for the Town. Shall also make recommendations to the Town Board for final approval on such matters as building permits, certified survey maps, subdivisions, and any new ordinances having to do with land use. |

(7 members plus 1 alternate, meets once a month, see RF Journal for times and dates.) Formulates changes and updates in the Master Plan. This committee can initiate new land-use ordinances. All recommendations must go to the Plan Commission. |
Extraterritorial Zoning Committee (3 members appointed by Town Board, 3 appointed by City of RF Mayor, 2 alternates. Meets as needed.) Formulates policy on activities planned or taking place in the ETZ, considers new zoning ordinances, updates Master Plan. |

5 members that meet the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at the town hall. Has charge of all parks and recreational facilities within the Town. The committee may improve and maintain facilities and establish rules for their use. |
Comprehensive Plan Committee This committee meets two to three times each year to ensure the Town's Comprehensive Plan is being implemented on schedule. |

Board of Appeals
(5 members, 2 alternates, meets as needed) Meets to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged
there is error on the part of the Town Board or Town official. May grant
special exceptions to ordinances. (See Town Code 17.09) |
Town Employees They keep the roads repaired in summer and passable in winter. |

Driveway Permit Issuer The placement of driveways is important, both to ensure that there is enough line-of-site to allow safe driving on the roads and to ensure that the grade and driveway conditions will allow emergency vehicles to bring help if it's ever needed. |
Zoning Administrator The town of River Falls has made zoning and land use a priority, to preserve agriculture and protect the quality of residential areas. The Zoning Administrator is a key player in this process. |
